January: A Month of New Beginnings
January is often the month of new beginnings. Resolutions are made, and new goals are set. Let’s take a look at what the Bible has to say about new beginnings every day this month.
I love a fresh start. As a matter of fact, some of my favorite verses are, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 2:22 & 23. I decided that since we’re all thinking about setting new goals, maybe adding one Bible verse a day about new beginnings would be fun.

I’ve compiled 31 of my favorite Bible verses about new beginnings. I think it would be great to use this as a scripture writing plan, too. Writing things really help me memorize. When I’m trying to memorize a new verse, or several verses, I try to write them as often as I can.
“and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
I shared last year that I don’t make resolutions. Read that here: Why I Don’t Make Resolutions. I do make monthly goals. This year, I have set a goal to do some Bible studies on specific topics each month. For the month of January, I chose new beginnings. Lord willing, in February, I’ll share the topic I plan to deep dive into, and so on.
Some of my favorite Bible Study Tools:
- KJV Women’s Study Bible – I found mine years ago at Ollies, and haven’t found an exact match since. This one looks very similar!
- No bleed Bible Highlighters – Essential! I love to highlight and make notes when I’m reading.
- Journal – I love using a spiral bound journal for Scripture writing, notetaking, and jotting down prayer requests!
- Magnetic Bookmarks – I love having a few packs of these on hand to use as gifts too, theyre so handy!
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
With the New Year just days way, it is my hope that you experience the abundant life that Christ offers. If you’d like to know a little bit more about the salvation Jesus offers you can read about it here: How to be Saved.
As always, thanks for spending a tiny part of your day with me! I appreciate you.
