I have still been in the thick of minimizing our belongings. Every time I feel like I have finished, I find one more space that needs attention. I’ve even been able to go back through rooms I went through once, and toss more out. At this point, instead of looking at things like “do we use this?”, I’m looking at them and asking, “Can I live without it?”. You’d be shocked at how little we really need to live well.

Through this process I feel like my décor style is evolving. I’ve been updating the house a little bit here and there, and I am super excited to share some of the DIY projects, and updates I’m making.

It’s also been very interesting to see how pursuing minimalism has changed my family. My husband and son have been notorious collectors, and it has certainly rubbed off on them. They’ve been purging and organizing their clothes and collections. I really feel like the entire atmosphere of our whole house and family dynamic has changed. It’s been an amazing transformation!
