Three Easy Ways to Simplify Life Immediately

Does life have you overwhelmed? Are you craving a slower pace? Today I’m sharing three ways you can slow down and simplify life immediately.

I can think back to a time in our lives not so long ago when it felt like we were in a whirlwind. We lived in a busy suburb of a busy city, and things were always going. I remember feeling so tired, and craving a slower pace. I had such a strong desire to live a slow, simple life. Fast forward about a decade, and our lives have drastically changed. We’ve simplified our agenda, our relationships, and our home. If this sounds like what you’ve been craving, keep reading. Today I’m sharing three easy ways you can simplify life immediately.

Turn off the TV.

Getting rid of the constant, unnecessary noise can go a LONG way to simplifying and slowing down the pace of life. I don’t think we realize the power the tv has over our homes, and our brains. Simply turning it off can rejuvenate and revitalize us! Get outside and go for a walk. Read a book. Talk with a friend. Invite family over. Connect with your loved ones instead of binging on the latest Netflix show. Ditch Social Media

I can not stress enough how giving up my favorite social media platform has transformed my life. I would spend so much time and energy scrolling and comparing. It’s a vicious cycle that will keep us constantly unsatisfied with our own life and home. It can be totally toxic if we let it. Put down your phone, and start living the one life God gave you. This is one simple thing can make a big impact.

Highly Simplify Your Home

I haven’t shared much about our journey to minimalism lately, but boy I could. It is truly astounding the major impact simplifying our home has had on our lives. Clutter has such a huge impact on the way we function and feel. We don’t have to let it control our lives, and run our homes. You can find freedom and simplicity in reducing your belongings. I’ve learned to keep only the things that I truly cherish and use. In doing that I’ve given myself the greatest gift ever…freedom from the constant stress of clutter. I have a blog post and a printable all about simplifying your home. You can check that out here: Simplifying Your Home + A Free Worksheet. I’ve written several posts about how minimalism is changing our home, and how you can apply some of the principles too. You can see them all here:

I hope that these three simple ways to simplify your life have been helpful. It is my greatest pleasure to share what I’ve learned through my journey to simple living. I always love to see and hear my friends and family simplifying their lives and embracing their own slow living dreams.

Thank you so much for spending a tiny part of your day with me. Until next time!
