DIY Peg Rail & Mudroom Reveal
Hey, guys! Happy first day of fall!!! Can you even believe it is already fall!? This years has gone by in slow motion, and hyper speed at the same. time.
I am SO excited about this post today. I told you last week that I ordered something for the mudroom, and was hoping to get it done to share with you soon. Guess what? I’m DONE! I love the way this little space turn out SO much!!
You already know I painted the trim and doors Ashen Tan by Behr. It’s the same color I used in the foyer makeover, and I really love it so much. I love it SO much, in fact, I decided to stencil little bits of it all over. YOU GUYS!! Such a tiny design, but such a big impact. You know one of my favorite quotes is “small changes, big results.”, and this is the perfect example of that.
I ordered the stencil from Designer Stencils. It’s called Petite Design, and I think it’s the perfect choice for this small space. I didn’t use the full stencil, but did every other line to keep it light and airy. There are tons of great tutorials on Pinterest for stenciling if you’re interested. It was such a simple project, and really only took me an hour to complete.
Speaking of tutorials, I made YouTube video number 2 for this post! I’ve been seeing these little peg rail walls all over Pinterest lately, and decided I needed it in my house. The space behind the back door was the PERFECT spot for it. It was a quick, easy project that cost me NOTHING to do. I had the pegs that I took off an old coat rack, and I found a scrap 1×4 board in the garage I used.
If you’re interested in how I did it, the YouTube video takes you step by step into the process. It was fun to do, and I got most of it done during nap time!
All we have left to do in here is the crown molding, and we will be 100% DONE!! I can not wait to have this room finished. It’s come along ways since it’s days of being an underused back porch. I can honestly say it has been by far the best DIY project we’ve ever under taken.
That’s it for today, guys. As always, thanks so much for spending a little part of your day with me.
