FREE Gratitude Journal with Scripture Writing
With Thanksgiving a week away, we’re all reflecting on our blessings. I created this free gratitude journal with scripture writing to help you reflect and express your gratitude.
The week before Thanksgiving is my favorite of the entire year. People aren’t running mad through the stores scowling at anyone who dares cross their path. I’ve actually seen the opposite in my lifetime. This week, people are seeing old friends in the aisles, stopping to catch up, and share photos of grandkids. They’re preparing their homes to welcome their families, and their hearts are full of gratitude and thanksgiving. Of course, this isn’t true for everywhere, but I’ve found it to be true for our little area. Reflecting on this made me want to create a gratitude journal that also had scriptures about being grateful. So, I did just that, and I’m sharing it with you for free. We are just one week away from Thanksgiving! If you start this Thursday, you will complete it on Thanksgiving Day. I plan to start in the morning if you want to join me. You simply rewrite the verses I’ve selected for the day in the lines below and fill out what you’re thankful for on the opposite page. It’s easy as that.
“In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus Concerning you.” 1 Thess. 5:18
This week is the week that I reflect the most on what the Lord has done for us. He has blessed us SO abundantly over this last year. As the hymn says, “Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made, were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade; to write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry; nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky.” That’s how I feel about the blessings God has given us. There is no way I could ever write them all!
I love to take a few minutes of my day to journal. I’ve done this every night before bed since my son was a young boy. It helps me reflect on the day and gives me such a sense of gratitude. I especially love to write down specific prayer requests. It’s always so amazing to go back to those pages and see how the Lord has answered every one of them. That’s why I created this gratitude journal. It’s my hope that through writing scriptures, and a quick gratitude list, you’ll have a new appreciation for what the Lord has done in your life, too.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thanks for spending a tiny part of your day with me.
