Salvation is the single most important thing you will ever do with your life. Jesus made a way to spend eternity with Him in Heaven. He wants everyone to know how to be saved. The good news is salvation is simple!

How to be saved

The most important decision you’ll ever make is deciding to follow Jesus. Salvation is a free gift from God, and it’s available to everyone who believes. Here’s how you can take that step today:

1. Understand Your Need for Salvation

God created you to have a personal relationship with Him, but sin separates us from Him. The Bible says:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

Sin is anything we do, say, or think that goes against God’s will. But here’s the good news: God loves you so much that He made a way to bring you back to Him.

2. Believe in Jesus

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again three days later. Because of His sacrifice, we can be forgiven and have eternal life.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16

Jesus’ death paid the penalty for your sins. When you trust Him as your Savior, you are saved by grace through faith—not by anything you can do on your own.

3. Repent and Turn to God

Repentance means turning away from your sins and choosing to follow God. It’s not just feeling sorry for your mistakes; it’s a decision to let go of your old ways and live for Him.

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” — Acts 2:38

Below is a simple prayer that you can repeat if you’re ready to accept Jesus in your life.

It doesn’t matter if you say this prayer perfectly, or even if you say this prayer at all. The only thing that matters is that you mean whatever you say to God with your whole heart.

Dear God, I am a sinner. I’m sorry for my sin; please forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died for my sins, and You raised Him to life. I want to invite Him into my heart to take control of my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
