How to Use a Blanket Scarf in Your Christmas Decor
Today I’ll show you a few creative ways to use a blanket scarf as Christmas decor to add instant coziness, and Christmas charm!
Earlier this year I shared five ways I used a blanket scarf in fall decor. I had so much fun doing it, I decided to come up with a few new ways to use a blanket scarf for Christmas decor.
Four Ways to Use a Blanket Scarf in Christmas Decor
- As a table runner. This is a repeat from my fall blanket scarf post, but admittedly my favorite. This time, I folded it neatly and used it as a table runner.
- As a tree skirt. Have you priced a tree skirt? Maybe I’m just super cheap, but I’d much rather wrap a scarf around the base of my faux tree than spend $45 on a tree skirt that gets boxed up ten months out of the year. Plus, this just adds instant cozy!
- Wrapped in garland. This is such a simple way to showcase your favorite Christmas plaid blanket scarf. If you had more than one, I think it’d be lovely weaved in and out of a tree like you do ribbon!
- Weaved in a wreath. I love this one! It adds the perfect amount of Christmas charm, and I really think you could get by with leaving it out all winter. Wouldn’t it be darling on an entry door?

You all know I am a FIRM believer in keeping decor simple. I’ve shared before that I tend to overcomplicate things. I think that’s why I love the simplicity and versatility of one of these scarves. I have literally used one in nearly every spot of our home as decor. You don’t need thirteen of them to make a big impact, as you’ve seen one does a nice job of it. They’re fairly inexpensive, and add so much coziness and charm.
I would LOVE to know if you all have tried any of these or previous scarf ideas in your home. I love it so much when you share them with me.
As always, thanks so much for spending a tiny part of your day with me. I hope you all have a great rest of the week.
