Let’s Bake Together – Apple Cake
GOOD morning, and happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a really fantastic weekend, and a great start to their week yesterday. We had a fun, relaxed weekend, and a productive Monday. I’m praying we can keep up the productive momentum, and get some things accomplished before cold weather officially set in.

If you follow along on Instagram you know that I’ve been talking about doing “bake together” in stories. Essentially, I’m sharing a recipe, we’re all gathering ingredients, and we’re going to bake this delicious cake together.
I originally found this recipe from wwwsmittlekitchen.com YEARS ago. It has since become a favorite, and one I make every single fall. She has TONS of recipes, so feel free to go check out her site!

Instructions

- Stir together sifted flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl whisk together oil, orange juice, sugar, and vanilla. Mix wet ingredients into the dry ones, then add eggs, one at a time. Scrape down the bowl to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
- Pour half of the batter into prepared pan. Spread half of the apples over it. Pour the remaining batter over apples, and arrange the remaining apples on top. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until tester comes out clean.
