My 5 Favorite Azure Standard Products
Interested in ordering from Azure Standard, but unsure where to start? Today I am sharing 5 of my favorite Azure Standard products!
The first time I heard about Azure Standard was several years ago. I saw an ad for organic, free range chicken breasts that piqued my interest. Unfortunately, at the time, there wasn’t a drop location near enough to make the saving feasible. Fast forward to about 8 months ago, and to my delight, I realized that several drops had been added in West Virginia, and multiple within an hour drive. I scoured their website for several days trying to decide which products I should try first.
I’ve narrowed it down to the handful of favorite Azure Standard products I reorder monthly and use here daily. I hope it gives you some ideas for what to add to your next order, too!
My top 5 favorite Azure Standard products…
- Frozen Chopped Organic Celery. This comes in a 5-pound bag, and it is a LOT of celery. A few reasons this is my favorite…I can NEVER find good organic celery around here. If the stores do have it, it’s already on its way out. We rarely ever eat celery fresh, but I love to have it on hand for soups and stews. Having it prechopped is a major time saver.
- Country Save Powdered Laundry Detergent. I ordered a big ole bag of this stuff on my first order after reading the reviews. I am happy to report that it works just as well as the reviewers claimed. Since we have an aeration system I have to be careful about the detergent I use. Homemade is usually a no-no because it doesn’t dissolve well. I’ve been using this for months and am very pleased with how clean our clothes are…and we live on a farm. That’s saying something!
- Azure Market Organic All-Purpose Flour. I go through a lot of flour with my beloved Sourdough Starter. I love the texture of this flour, and the price for organic is hard to beat. I’ve had such a hard time finding good quality flour locally that isn’t bleached and pumped full of additives.
- Azure Market Raw White Cheddar Cheese. This. Is. The. BEST. So creamy, no added coloring, and made with raw milk. You can’t beat it.
- Food For Life Sprouted Corn Tortillas. These are delicious served as is, but my very favorite way to use them is to cut each tortilla into 8 wedges, spritz them with olive oil, and air fry them until crispy. The final product is delicious homemade corn chips with no seed oils, and yucky ingredients. I order 3 bags at a time and ordered them just about every month we love them so much!

What to expect…
Perhaps every drop is different, but I will explain to you how we do it at our drop location. Once you place your order you will get a series of emails letting you know that your order was filled, if anything is out of stock, and when you can expect your truck to arrive. Once you get the email that your items have shipped it will give you details on the day and time of your delivery. We arrive at our drop site (a very large truck stop type gas station with ample parking) about 15 minutes early. Others begin rolling in to wait on the truck too. Once the Azure truck arrives, the truck driver begins to unload the items. Everyone pitches in and helps carry boxes and packages to each family. It goes quite quickly because we all work together.
I will admit that pulling our groceries out of a semi for the first time seemed so strange. Now, though, even our three-year-old looks forward to our “grocery day” and pitches in to help unload the truck.
They do offer shipping directly to your home, but I haven’t utilized this yet!
Why I love it…
Finding wholesome, organic food and naturally derived products can be challenging. Especially, if you’re like us, and live out in the country. Our local supermarket is great in a pinch, but very rarely has the quality of ingredients I prefer to use. That’s why I love Azure Standard. I can get high quality, organic ingredients I feel confident in feeding my family.
