What’s Cooking – October 26-31

Good morning! Every time I ask someone what their favorite thing is that I share, it is usually either DIY’s or our menu for the week. I am going to try my best to share our weekly menu with you all every week, and give you links or recipes to the things I have planned! Ready? Let’s go!

When I menu plan, I always check the weather. I don’t know about you, but eating soup on an eighty degree day doesn’t appeal to me. I try to plan accordingly. The weather is starting to cool down just a bit, and I am so excited to be able to make a big pot of soup. It makes the best leftovers, and I think it always tastes better the next day! Anybody else?

Menu Plan for Oct. 26-31

Monday – Oven roasted chicken, with sweet potatoes, and vegetables.

Tuesday – Meat loaf, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans

WednesdaySourdough pancakes and bacon

Thursday – Chili and Cornbread

Friday – Leftovers – my favorite night!

Saturday Slow Cooker Garlic Chicken Alfredo

Sunday – We always eat Sunday dinner at my parents

I will share my FAVORITE chili recipe sometime this week. I came across is during “quarantine”. As usual, I’ve tweaked it just a little to make it suite our tastes. It’s really such a good recipe, and makes a HUGE pot of chili…which just happens to be the soup that, in my humble opinion, is better the next day.

I also plan to bake some loaves of bread, and bake a cake this week. I’d love to know what’s going to be cooking in your kitchen!

As always, thanks for spending just a little part of your day with me!

I’d be honored to have you follow along!

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.

  1. I made chicken parm sandwiches for lunch today because they were warm and comforting. I said I really wanted soup but would make that on Monday because it is to be down to 7* so I am really going to want something warm.
