Cinnamon Vanilla Whole Wheat Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups milk non dairy works good too
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1-3 tsp. ground cinnamon depending on how much cinnamon you like. I usually use 1 tsp since the baby eats them
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  • Pre heat your waffle iron, if it's not non stick be sure to coat well with oil
  • Whisk flour and baking powder together
  • Add milk and egg to flour mixture
  • Add cinnamon and vanilla and mix whisk well until fully blended, and the batter is smooth
  • Using a ladle or measuring cup, pour mixture evenly into hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown.
  • Top with your favorite fruit, nuts, or maple syrup.
